  We had frequented Fishbone a few times for dinner and lunch and loved the experience so much that we decided to book a private event at the Restaurant.
  
  Chef Pedro recommended an excellent menu and guided us the entire way in making the final decision on menu and the wine pairings.
  
  Upon arrival the service staff was very cheerful, and ready to serve. All staff members were professional, efficient, extremely friendly and overall classy.
  
  The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was amazing and delicious. Every dish better than the last. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed all the food and commented that the event was one of the best they attended with the best food and service.
  
  We look forward to coming back to the restaurant for lunch or dinner and highly recommend it.

  My first visit to the Fishbone was disappointing. I ordered the cast iron seared scallops and two of them were sandy. I advised the server and the manager came by and told me that the chef had inspected all of them and that no customer had ever complained before about this. The white asparagus could have been peeled a bit more as there were pieces that were really fibrous. Also the chef was a bit too generous with the salt. The best item I had was the beet salad.
  
  I came to celebrate my birthday and found out that there is a $2.75 per person plating fee if you bring a cake from outside. You get a glass of port on your birthday though.

  I have visited this restaurant for dinner 3 times and have enjoyed it. Food is has not always been consistent but good. Service is welcoming and professional. I have found it to be quiet during the week, maybe half full, but very busy on Saturday nights. It's not a very large restaurant so food comes to you in a very timely manner and at the right temperature.
  
  Tip: Order the brussel sprouts, lamb shank, cocktails are very good -

  Near Aurora GO Train station; decided upon thanks to google reviews. Had trouble choosing which main to get because four of them tempted.
  Settled on calamari, stuffed with chouriço (sausage). Served on squid ink risotto which was very agreeable like risotto should be. Cooked with butter, and not strong-tasting as expected from the dark colour.
  'European' sized portions so order appetizers if you wish.
  Attentive and comfortable service, including my server, Julie.
  Hope to return, to try and choose from the other three mains... unless I crave the risotto again.

  I discovered Fishbone last summer via a recommendation and it quickly became my favorite restaurant. With Fishbone you really don't have to go to Toronto anymore for a top notch dining experience. The team now lead by Grant is exceptional at every level. They really make you feel special, they are warm and friendly and pay attention to all the details big and small. I've dined at a lot of high end restaurants and these guys do it better than anyone. Not once have I had a bad experience, every meal has been perfect, the service spot on, it is just always consistent. I wish I could say there is some room for improvement but Fishbone is that good! The restaurant boasts a vibe of classy ambiance without a hint of pretentiousness, it is utterly comfortable. The menu changes with the seasons, it is somewhat minimalist which is something I appreciate at a fine restaurant, I don't want to be overwhelmed with too many options; the plating is simple and elegant, food always nice and warm and full of flavor. Go in expecting an amazing meal, you will not be disappointed!
